DeGuerre and P.I. shoot at each other on the Page of the Day, from The Private Eye #7 by Brian K. Vaughan, Marcos Martin, and Muntsa Vicente.
Martin dials up the tension by moving from medium shots in the top tier to the tight close-ups in the second. In the bottom tier, he pulls way back, enough to make room for page-wide sound effects representing the simultaneous dual gunshots. Note: This is not a two-page spread. The story is formatted horizontally for reading on screens.
Martin even draws the bullets discharging from the guns.
